Job Desciption

Job duties: Analyzing user requirements; Researching, designing, and writing new software programs; Writing program code, perform testing, and debugging applications using contemporary programming languages and technologies; Analyzing alternative approaches for system solutions, and providing recommendations for the systems solution that best fulfills requirements and alignment to IT standards; Designing, developing, and implementing systems interfaces and filing conversion software; Determining system specifications, input/output processes, and system components for hardware and software compatibility; Ensuring the ongoing operability of systems solutions in a production environment; Responding to production malfunctions and providing timely and effective solutions; Monitoring and refining processes, procedures, and systems to optimize system effectiveness while recommending and implementing improvements; Developing and providing system documentation; Designing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery procedures; Integrating existing software products and incompatible platforms to work together; and Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects. Requirements: B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or in a related position. Will accept a Master’s degree and four years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience. Experience must include minimum four years of client interaction and technical implementation experience, with the ability to rapidly generate client trust and confidence. Also requires experience in JAVA, XML, XSLT, XPATH, SOAP, REST, and PL/SQL. Must be proficient with Oracle Database and MS-SQL server Database. Also proficient with Linux, Solaris, IBM AIX and Windows operating systems. Must have the ability to contribute to the development of best practices; ability to act as Team Lead on projects and mentor other engineers; ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment; excellent oral and written communications skills; and strong analytical and organizational skills.
